Tom Symons

Managing Director

Tom Symons is an experienced Senior Executive with extensive Sales and Business Development experience in the retail market. Tom started out in the Retail focused CCTV company but quickly expanded to Electronic Article Surveillance following its acquisition by Checkpoint Systems, a Philadelphia based company, then a global leader in the EAS Market. As Checkpoint expanded into Apparel Labeling and Merchandise Availability (RFID), Tom was asked to take on the role of Business Development Manager for Source tagging, first in Benelux and then in Europe.

In 2008, Tom decided to start up his own company and Profit Protection Services (PPS) was incorporated. PPS initially focused on helping retailers protect their profits by providing them with high quality, innovative, yet cost-effective solutions. However, he soon realized that there were a number of issues for which there were no readily available off-the-shelf solutions.

One of those issues was highlighted to him during discussions with a Belgian food retailer who pointed out the losses they were suffering due to items being left in or under the shopping trolley. Following extensive research and development CaddyCheck® was born.

Phil Nutter – Director Sales – is an experienced Senior Executive with extensive Sales and Business Development experience in the retail market.

Phil started out in finance but soon moved to Spain to start working for a Retail focused label and printer company but quickly expanded to Electronic Article Surveillance following its acquisition by Checkpoint Systems, a Philadelphia based company, then a global leader in the EAS Market. As Checkpoint expanded into Apparel Labeling and Merchandise Availability (RFID), Phil was asked to take on the role of Business Development Manager Retail for Source tagging in Europe.

Phils draws on a depth of experience to develop, adapt and implement cost effective and sustainable solutions focused on benefiting the client’s bottom line.

In 2012, Phil joined Profit Protection Services (PPS) and soon CaddyCheck® was born. Phil is responsible for the sales in the English and Spanish territory. With is his open minded and down to earth approach, he is able to reach and communicate across organisations to achieve common goals.

Terry Clancy

Terry Clancy

Director Operations

Terry Clancy is a Senior Executive with extensive business, M&S, product management, and organizational development experience.

Terry served as VP of the Systems Division for Checkpoint Systems, a global leader in shrink management, merchandise visibility and apparel label solutions based in Philadelphia. In this role, Terry had full responsibility for hardware products business unit which included the RFID solutions and the traditional Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS). During his time at Checkpoint, Terry also held the positions of Technology and Innovation Advisor and Director of R&D and Product Management.

Previously to Checkpoint, Terry was responsible for R&D and Product Management for the Barcode Systems and Electronic Article Surveillance Solutions in Esselte Meto International.

More recently, Terry has worked as a consultant helping technology companies in developing their “Go to Market” strategies, preparing products for release and driving company’s geographical expansion.
